Carleton Introduces Vitreal® S

Carleton Ltd. today announced the introduction of Bon Optic Vitreal® S, a new Triamcinolone formulation for use in endocular surgery without preservatives

VITREAL® S is for used in endocular surgery to stain the vitreous body during vitrectomy. The micro particles of Triamcinolone cause the vitreous humour to become opaque and make it easier to remove. VITREAL® S is a new formulation containing tramcinolone acetonide 4% without preservatives and a saline buffer. The new formulation of VITREAL® S, compared to the previous version, does not contain the carbopol. VITREAL® S is CE marked medical device and is available in a 2ml vial containing 8 mg of triamcinolone acetonide.

    Ophthalmic Laser Study Day 2012

    Carleton Optical in association with IRIDEX are pleased to announce plans for an ophthalmic laser awareness study day.

    Subjects to be covered will include innovative treatments for diabetic retinopathy, an update on transcleral cyclophotocoagulation and a review of the IQ 577nm Yellow Laser. Whilst timings are yet to be confirmed, it will be a London venue probably in the second half of July 2012.
