Carleton has recently launched the new Canon TX-20P, a multi-functional ophthalmic instrument which measures intraocular pressure (IOP) and central corneal thickness (CCT) simultaneously.
The easy to use TX-20P combines a Tonometer and Pachymeter in one instrument, measuring IOP and central corneal thickness together and have the IOP automatically recalculated for you with accuracy and speed. With its advanced, fully automatic examination and 3D alignment, the operation is extremely fast and easy. Following a very basic alignment on the patient’s eye, at the press of a button, the TX-20P will automatically align and focus and take multiple measurements of IOP and CCT on both eyes. Recalculated IOP values will be printed out automatically.
The TX-20P removes the need for two separate devices, and in addition, eliminates time spent on manual calculations, thus enhancing practice efficiency and faster patient throughput. It is an incredibly compact and lightweight device that also allows for easy transportation, featuring a tilting 5.7 inch colour LCD screen, which ensures the TX-20P can be operated while standing or sitting.
