Carleton Launches Copernicus+ Spectral Domain OCT

Copernicus+

Carleton Ltd. recently launched the new Optopol Copernicus Plus Spectral Domain OCT at the BCLA conference in Birmingham. The Copernicus+ is the first new product to be launched since Optopol became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canon Inc. Tokyo. Based on the proven technology and stability of the Copernicus HR, this new model features a faster work flow, networking capability, enhanced comparison module, and simple, yet intuitive user interface, while the new price tag offers affordability for the optometric practice. The Copernicus+ offers two scanning modes, vitreous and choroid, with 27,000 A-scan per second scanning speed at 5μm. The anterior segment module also performs pachymetry, TISA, and AOD measurements.

“The Copernicus+ represents the first collaboration between Optopol, with their intimate knowledge of and years of experience in Spectral Domain OCT, and Canon, a global leader in technology and innovation,” explains Nick Fitrzyk, Managing Director of Carleton Ltd. “We are confident that this partnership will ensure dynamic product development and strong customer support for the future.”
